This American hard rock quartet was formed in 1983 by David Anthony (vocals), Alan St.
Lesa (guitar), Mick Adrian (bass) and Steve Ordyke (drums). They secured a record contract with Enigma the following year. Influenced by Dokken, Kiss and Van Halen, their debut was a somewhat formularized collection of mid-paced rockers that ultimately lacked distinction. Produced by Don Dokken and Michael Wagner, the album was eagerly anticipated, but proved a major disappointment when it arrived. Little more was heard of Shire in its wake.
